Is The Metaverse a Long-Term Reality or a Passing Technology Trend

It is difficult to say whether the concept of the metaverse is a passing trend or not. The idea of a virtual world where people can interact and engage with each other and digital objects has been around for decades, but recent advances in technology such as increased internet connectivity, improved graphics and virtual reality technology have made it more feasible to create such a world.

While interest in the metaverse is growing, it remains to be seen whether it will become a long-term, widely adopted reality.

When I published the book A Career In Cyber? Where are the #$*&@!% jobs? I wanted to save the metaverse for Volume 2. However, since I published the book I have been inundated with enquiries about the metaverse.

As such, I have decided to provide a snapshot of the metaverse and several key areas that it will impact.

The Metaverse and art

The metaverse, as a virtual world, has the potential to open up new opportunities for artists. Some artists are already experimenting with creating digital art and interactive installations that can be experienced within virtual environments.
