Total praise must go to the New South Wales National Roads and Motorist Association (NRMA) for introducing regular electric ferries Pyrmont Bay to Barangaroo service.
By converting former water taxis and replacing the motors with large batteries, these near-silent ferries run for up to 8 hours on a single charge at a rate of 4 knots.
